The Corvis platform collects various types of information directly from user for the purpose of creating your user profile. This information can include your name, birthdate, sex, mobile number, email and other professional information regarding your school/work, etc. We ask this information from you in order to build a profile for you.

This Privacy Policy applies to any and all users of the Corvis platform (including the site and/or the app). The following is a list of the types of users this policy applies to:

  • “Visitor” this means anyone who is browsing the website or the app but has not registered or has not logged in
  • “User” this means anyone who has registered for the website and established an account. A user can include anyone as long as they agree to the Terms and Policies of the website/app and register an account.

INFORMATION COLLECTION/STORAGE:

The type of information that we collect from users include “Personal Information”, this refers to: name, email(s), birthdate, sex, and phone number. We also collect “Professional Information” which includes information relating to your place of work/education such as: your position, year of graduation, department, etc. “Anonymous Information”, this refers to: ISP, IP address, browser type, cookies, access time, cell phone service provider, GPS location, and metadata. “Third Party Information” refers to information that is coming from third party sites/services and going into our platform.

Personal Information and Professional Information is collected during account registration. Although Visitors are permitted to browse the site without sharing Personal Information; however, Visitors will only be able to access the registration screens of the app without registering. During account registration in the app Personal Information and Professional Information will be asked and stored on our servers. Please note that this information is encrypted when it is stored. Encryption refers to storing information that cannot be accessed without a secret key or password thus protecting it from prying eyes.

Anonymous Information is routinely collected from all Users and Visitors of both the website and the app. This information is collected through the use of cookies, URLs, GPS, and metadata. Additionally we automatically collect certain information when you download our app and this can include the type of device, the unique device identifier (“UDID”). A cookie is a unique identifier sent to your computer by a web browser. We use cookies as part of our information collection but please note that cookies do not collect any personal information and are used solely to improve the quality of our services. We maintain the privacy of your information; however, if we receive a legal request such as a Subpoena or court order from authorities we have no choice but to comply. Please note we will only disclose information that has been requested by the authorities and only for those users that were specifically mentioned.

If you wish to receive information about a Corvis user please serve us with a valid Civil Subpoena by first contacting us through the Contact Us section. Please note that we value our customer’s privacy and therefore we will reasonably attempt to notify the individual or group or individuals whose information is requested by authorities. Law enforcement authorities are responsible for reimbursing our parent company, Dreamland Soft LLC, whenever we comply with any subpoena or other legal proceeding regardless of outcome.

We understand that some of the information that you submit to us is very confidential. Our platform does not advertise any third-party content period. At no point is any personally identifiable information or any other information that you share on the Corvis platform ever shared or even used for advertisement. Rest assured that your information is safe and protected. Lastly our team is not permitted to share or even use the information that you provide us for any other purpose outside the realms of our business.

With the above in mind, we do not have complete validation of the information you provide. Although we strive to make sure your information is correct and up to date we are not responsible for false information if it is provided by the user(s). Our role is limited to that of providing our users with a service/product and we are not responsible for what our users do using our service/product.

If Corvis is merged, acquired or sold, or in the event of any transfer or some or all of out data (such as a bankruptcy) we may disclose and/or transfer Personal Information, Usage Data, and Message Data. Please note that in the event that this occurs, you will be notified and the process will be in accordance with industry standards. Corvis is a product of Dreamland Soft LLC and therefore the aforementioned information may be shared with the parent company as well as their other products that are owned/managed by the parent company.

The software, proprietary methods, systems and algorithms that are in place on the website/app are:
(i) copyrighted by us and/or our licensors under the United States and international copyright laws;
(ii) subject to other intellectual property and proprietary rights and laws;
(iii) owned by us or our licensors. Our Technology may not be copied, modified, reproduced, republished, posted, transmitted, sold, offered for sale, or redistributed in any way without our prior written permission and the prior written permission of our applicable licensors. You are required to abide by all copyright notices, information, and/or restrictions contained in any of the technology or tools that are used by our site and services.

In regards to the content of the database/app that you submit for using the Corvis platform, it is the user’s sole responsibility to review them for any potential copyright infringement, plagiarism, and/or illegal speech. Corvis and its staff are not responsible for any violations of copyright or plagiarism and/or illegal speech committed by the user in any communication that they submit. Our role merely involves relaying your communication through the proper channel so that it arrives to the proper individual. We do not moderate or verify the accuracy or legality of what you submit.

As a user you are in complete control of the information that you have shared/stored on the Corvis platform. This means that are you free at any time to remove or add information as you see fit. Obviously, the information is stored locally on your device and our servers so Corvis is the controller of such information.

Our website and app may contain links to other third party websites or apps. These can include social media widgets as well as links to our parent company website. This Privacy Policy only applies to this website and this app and does not encompass any third party websites/services/products/apps. We encourage our Visitors and Users to review the Terms and Policies of those websites before engaging with them. By having third party links our webpages/app do not endorse their services or products, they are merely there for your convenience.

SECURITY:

Since security is a major pillar of our website and app, we strive to keep everything you send us to be secure. Secure Socket Layering (SSL) technology is employed on our webpage to keep information secure. We also encrypt everything that we store with end-to-end 2048 bit encryption including your Personal and Professional Information as well as any information that you submit to us. Any and all information is HIPAA compliant and maintained in the strictest of security protocols.

We follow accepted industry standards when it comes to securing your personal information both during the registration and during use of our products/services. Given the nature of encryption, some of the information that you share on our platform is not even visible by us or any members of our team.

CHILDREN:

Children under the age of 13 are not permitted to use our services and we do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If are at least 13 years of age or older, you are permitted to use our app and services; however, we recommend that you review this policy and the terms with your parent and/or guardian to make sure that you and your parent and/or guardian understand it.
